The New American Reich
The book is an ambitious “what if” of a alternate reality in which the United States and Nazi Germany end up as allies in World War II against Russia. The plot alternates between 1944 and 1952 and 1980 and manages to include most of the important figures of the day. The big plot twist, as you can guess from the title, is that the American National Socialist Party (Nazi) wins the 1952 Presidential election.
The author does a nice job creating the central characters, and keeping it historically correct until the big plot twist. Though over 300 pages long, it was a quick read and quite compelling.
Anyone who loves historical novels, should give it try.

American Reich is an exciting, thought-provoking novel that blends actual historical events with a fictional reality. Great characters and the idea that a small change in history really could have had a major change in today's reality - truly a compelling story. I could not put it down.

I did not know what to expect as I began reading this story. How could the USA become a Nazi country? The premise seems impossible but the author makes it believable as he threads the storyline from past to present day and back. Nicely done with a fantastic ending!

The New American Reich by Todd R. Pajonas presents an intriguing “what if” twist on the outcome of the Second World War. What if America and Germany joined forces against the Russian’s advancement of communism? And what if this alliance led to the emergence of the Nazi Party in the USA, culminating in them forming the government?
A compelling read, The New American Reich has us question how small differences in real life historical occurrences could have shaped our world differently. Through a combination of WW2 flashbacks, and events in “modern time”, Pajonas leads us through a series of developments that results in an alternative modern day America – one that is very frightening.
